Mistinguett, Queen of the Roaring Twenties

A fabulous show about a legendary performer
Jeanne Florentine Bourgeois (1875 to 1956) began her singing career on the streets of her home town. She was a flower girl who would serenade her customers with the popular ballads of the day. After receiving some musical training she gained a foothold in the theatre as a stagehand before receiving her opportunity to perform, going on to become a worldwide star. After experimenting with various stage names she first called herself Mistinguett while singing at the Casino de Paris.
In a sense this brings her story full circle as the venue for the new musical show based on Mistinguett’s life is also the Casino de Paris, one of the city’s best-loved performance venues. With music by Jean Pierre Pilot and William Rousseau, choreography by Guillaume Bordier and a stunning performance in the title role by Carmen Maria Vega, this show is already causing a sensation in Paris. Bringing the Roaring Twenties to dazzling life, the show also includes Mistinguett’s signature song, Mon Homme (My Man), which has since gone on to be a much-recorded jazz standard. An evening of great music, scintillating performances and wonderful dancing coupled to a fascinating story awaits your pleasure.Opening of MISTINGUETT
