News of the Hotel Marais Bastille this May covers a whole range of exciting happenings in Paris over the next few months. The hotel is ideally placed for visits to many exhibitions and shows, and is just minutes by taxi or metro from all areas of the city.
On May 17th the city's museums throw open their doors after dark for Museum Night, an excellent event for older kids, and a lot of fun for adults too. Anyone with an interest in art or history will love the spectacular 'Paris 1900' exhibition at the Petit Palais. One of our favourites here at Marais Bastille, the show is on till the 17th August. The hotel is within easy reach of the Petit Palais, and of course it's the perfect base for enjoying all that the exciting Marais district has to offer.
Fashion professionals already know a bit about Fashion Week, and won't want to miss some of the top fashion trade fairs that are happening throughout the month of May. Paris has much to offer when it comes to elegant entertainment. Now in its 10th year, Les Etés de la Danse is sophisticated and accessible. Excitement is guaranteed to be building as the end of May approaches and kids of all ages, including staff here at Marais Bastille, will be looking forward to Foire du Trone. Roll up for all the fun of a traditional fair with carousels, roller coasters and cotton candy.

Next fashion trade fairs in Paris
At Hotel Marais Bastille we're always pleased to welcome professional guests who are in Paris for important trade shows. Who's Next, the exciting prêt à porter event at Porte de Versailles from July 4th to 7th takes a look at emerging trends in high quality women's and men's clothing. Network and meet new designers and suppliers from July 5th to 7th when Salon International de la Lingerie presents Mode City, a showcase of new swimwear and lingerie. Interfiliere takes place alongside Mode City, and suppliers of the fabrics, yarns and trims used to create beautiful lingerie show off their wares to buyers and industry insiders.
Les Etés de la Danse festival in Paris 2014
The 10th year for this popular dance festival, and sure to be one of the most memorable. The fabulous San Francisco Ballet under the direction of Helgi Tomasson bring unique ballets to Paris, some of them for the first time. You can be in the audience for some of the 18 performances at the Théâtre du Châtelet from 10th to 26th July.
Paris 1900 new exhibition
Experience the hedonism and glamour of Belle Epoque Paris at Paris 1900. Destined to be one of the most popular fine art shows of the year, this superb exhibition at the Petit Palais recalls the dawn of the 20th century and the Paris Exposition Universelle. A remarkable celebration of a time when art was entertainment and Paris was the centre of the universe, embrace the spirit of the era through film, painting, sculpture costume and jewellery until August 17th.
