The Champs-Élysées, a shopping location for all occasions

The most famous avenue in Europe is known as the showcase of French luxury: the great jewellers, leather goods stores, fashion brands and décor outlets line the wide pavements. As the Arc de Triomphe stands sentinel at one end of the majestic thoroughfare you wander past stunning display windows glowing with seasonal colours and lights that turn the avenue into an enchanted land where the shopping possibilities seem endless. Exclusive but also accessible, the shops of the Champs-Élysées cater for all tastes and budgets. You’ll be delighted to find your favourite brands as well as great bargains, and the sheer quantity and variety of goods means that you are sure to find the gift you’re looking for.

An anniversary not to be missed: the 150th anniversary of Printemps

This winter, one of the most famous Parisian department stores will glow all the more brightly as Printemps celebrates 150 years of luxury and fashion. In 2015, this iconic temple of retail bliss will go all out to make its Christmas displays even more amazing than usual! The Printemps and Galeries Lafayette department stores continue to offer a wide range of iconic brands, side by side with the latest creations from the most innovative designers. Gifts of clothing, decorative items, toys, gourmet foods ... everything is available on the Boulevard Haussmann, a few minutes by Metro from our hotel.

Paris, capital of innovation and creativity

Moving on from the department stores, if you prefer a shopping mall with a wide range of stores as well as a large selection of places to eat, then we have another recommendation for you. The Beaugrenelle shopping centre, in the 15th arrondissement, reopened its doors in 2013 after an extensive remodelling that has turned it into a place of cutting edge beauty. Its modern architecture is amazing, and it hosts 110 dynamic and contemporary stores selling a variety of products from technology to designer clothing and much more.

Unmissable Christmas markets

From November through to the New Year the Christmas markets of Paris offer all the picturesque charm of French tradition amidst the grandeur of the capital. You'll find many of them, each having its own particular atmosphere: the Place du Trocadéro market attracts families with winter entertainment for the little ones, while that of the Place de la Nation is popular with young people. Christmas decorations, arts and crafts and local produce provide gift ideas aplenty in these friendly places where you can keep out the winter chill with a glass of mulled wine while you browse.
