A fitting venue for this spectacular show, the Petit Palais was built for the famous Universal Exhibition of 1900 to a design by acclaimed architect Charles Girault. As the doors opened on the fabulous world fair, crowds flocked to the Petit Palais to celebrate the achievements of the previous century and usher in an exciting new era.

Paris was the place to be - an effervescent, glamorous city at the cutting edge of fashion and style. The Parisian art scene of 1900 was truly international, and works by Edelfet, Zuloaga and Stewart are displayed alongside French favourites Cézanne, Monet and Renoir at this outstanding event.
