YIA Art Fair 2013 a key event in the Parisian art world
What better setting could there be for an art fair than the trendy Marais district with its fashion houses and fine restaurants as well as its art galleries? Once an area of great aristocratic houses, the Marais is now one of the main localities for art galleries in Paris.
Founded by Roman Tichit, the Young International Artists Art Fair (YIA Art Fair 2013) is supported by the Friends of the Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris and the Ministry of Culture and Communication. The event has been praised by both critics and collectors and also ARTINFO France. It is a collaboration between artists, galleries, critics and curators to recognise those creative individuals who are committed to the French and international art scene. The event breaks down the barriers of art appreciation in a playful and friendly spirit, and gives those involved the opportunity to meet and network. Perhaps more importantly it allows the public to discover new talent through their paintings, sculpture and installations.
The fair takes place in four locations; the Bastille Design Centre, the Espace Joseph, the Commines and the Loft Sevigne, a delightful old printing house which has 350 square metres of display space. Close to these locations is the Hotel Marais Bastille, where we pride ourselves on the elegant, contemporary shapes and lines of our décor.
