Les Etés de la Danse festival in Paris 2014 is exceptional

Les Etés de la Danse festival in Paris 2014welcomes the return of the acclaimed San Francisco Ballet to the prestigious Théâtre du Châtelet. Headed by Helgi Tomasson, the ballet will give 18 exclusive performances from the 10th to 26th July 2014.

The San Francisco Ballet is one of the most famous troupes in the US, and took part in the very first edition of Les Etés de la Danse back in 2005. Théâtre du Châtelet is delighted to have Helgi Tomasson and her dancers back in Paris for the festival’s 10th anniversary this summer.

To celebrate 10 remarkable years of Les Etés de la Danse the company will present 18 unique ballets, 9 of which are French premieres. Some of the highlights of the programme devised by the San Francisco Ballet that will be performed in France for the first time include ‘Hummingbird’ by Liam Scarlett, ‘Concerto’ by Kenneth McMillan and ‘Ghosts’ and ‘Within the Golden Hour’ by Christopher Wheeldon.

The festival also offers a summer course for professional and semi-professional dancers from the age of 12, a range of open classes with the company and exclusive screenings. Whether you’re a dancer or whether you just enjoy ballet, you’re certain to have a wonderful time at Les Etés de la Danse.
