Childhoods, theme of the 14th Spring of Poets 2012 - Hotel Marais Bastille Paris

A major cultural event, the Spring of Poets is celebrated in Paris and across France from 5th to 18th March 2012. To mark the occasion, a number of events are being organised in the capital, to the certain delight of poetry lovers, big or small.
Concours Andrée Chedid du poème chanté
For this, its 14th year, the Spring of Poets has chosen the theme of Childhoods and invites people to consider the importance of poetry in learning. The original and innovative repertoire of four publishers, specialised in poetry for young readers, will also be highlighted.
The Lycée E. Quinet in Paris will present creations and readings, while the Andrée Chedid song poem competition will invite participants to compose a song based on a poem by Michel Butor. The winner will have the privilege of taking part in a concert to be held on 13th March at the Alhambra!
