The International Agricultural Fair: the rural world comes to the heart of Paris

Paris welcomes the nation’s food producers from February 27th to March 6th, when the Paris Porte de Versailles exhibition centre will once again provide the venue for the world-renowned Salon International de l’Agriculture, a huge and essential trade fair. This event, which celebrates its 53rd edition, will centre this year about a specific theme; that of Socially Responsible Agriculture and Food, and four sectors will be represented; livestock breeding, crops and plants, culinary products, and agricultural services and professions.

When you attend this event you and your family will experience highlights such as the showing of thousands of farm animals belonging to some 330 breeds, numerous exhibitions, the excitement of the General Agricultural Competition, the opportunity to sample an incredible array of fresh produce and culinary delights, and a full programme of activities and workshops in which to participate. Children are well provided for, with special exhibitions, quizzes and other exciting events to enable them to have some fun while they learn about the world of agriculture. A ‘Families Welcome’ is also provided, including the provision of a comic backpack of goodies, with a safety strap to ensure you don’t lose sight of the kids!
