Do you have a weakness for chocolate? Or do you simply have a professional interest in this product? Then the Salon du Chocolat is the event for you. From the 29th of October to the 2nd of November, the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre will be a magnet for chocoholics and industry insiders from across the globe, with 20,000 square metres of exhibition space over two floors dedicated solely to the theme of chocolate.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Salon du Chocolat (Paris chocolate show) and the organisers have gone all out to ensure that it’s the best one yet. There will be over 500 participants this year, including some 200 pastry chefs and chocolatiers, many of who will be demonstrating their considerable skills in a series of demonstrations, and also workshops for children. Major companies will be unveiling new products, industry insiders will be sharing their knowledge in a series of lectures and conferences, and there will be a special bookshop section with authors signing their latest offerings.
The excitement continues with the Cocoa Show, a fun-packed entertainment celebrating chocolate culture and featuring dance, songs and traditions of cocoa producing countries. Learn the secrets of cocoa processing ‘From Bean To Bar’. Then, of course, there is the event that has become almost a legendary aspect of these occasions, the Chocolate Fashion Show. Chocolatiers and couturiers join forces to provide an astonishing spectacle; chocolate clothing worn by models on the catwalk! This is something you have to see, along with a 20th anniversary retrospective on the finest chocolate fashions from past events.
