Paris Plages, the summer operation dreamt up by the city of Paris in 2002, is celebrating its 11th anniversary this year. From 20th July to 19th August, the banks of the Seine and its canals will be given over to an array of leisure activities, games areas and water sports for all ages.
Paris Plages: the atmosphere of a seaside resort invading the capital
This year, visitors will be able to make the most of several new elements, such as crazy golf on the Quai de Seine, a mountain bike trail, and concerts organised at La Rotonde with the metro’s best musicians. A marina, especially created for Paris Plages, will invite young and old alike to discover the joys of boating, rowing or canoeing…before relaxing on a long sandy beach!
